Following lengthy discussions, Orange France (www.orange.fr) has executed an agreement with YCD to implement the SMS Jukebox. Orange France has more than 23 Million subscribers in France and controls more than 50% of the market.
The SMS Jukebox service enables bars / pubs / restaurants / caf?s and many other businesses, to allow customers to choose a specific song of their choice from an SMS music menu on the table, to be played at the location. All the customer needs to do is send an SMS on his mobile phone with the selected song number, and it will be played at the location within seconds.
The first phase will be conducted as a pilot in 20 sites in the heart of Paris, and following this stage we expect countrywide rollout to thousands of locations in France. Orange France is extremely excited about this new unique service that will enhance Orange’s strategy of linking mobile users to the music world by introducing unique premium services to their subscribers.
